Kanchipuram (Kanjivaram) silk sarees come from the temple town of Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu, home to one of South India’s best-known weaving traditions. The style is recognised by its rich silk body, bold contrast borders and pallus, and fine zari work. A hallmark of the tradition is korvai weaving, where the body and the border are woven separately and then interlocked, so the contrast border sits firmly with the body.
Brocade weaving creates raised, richly patterned areas, usually on the pallu and border, that catch the light. Woven checks are a classic body design in Kanchipuram sarees and give the fabric a refined texture.
Each Myllu Silks saree is handpicked by our founder for its weave, colour, texture and durability.
Myllu Silks brings handwoven Kanjivaram and soft silk sarees from the weaving looms of Tamil Nadu straight to you, honouring generations of craft in every drape. Rooted in Tirupur, we work closely with skilled weavers to bring you sarees that hold both heritage and heart, so that every piece you wear carries a story worth passing down.
